Why the FIFA World Cup Should Change and What it Should be Changed to

One of the best times of year to be a sports fan is during March Madness, when the college basketball world is ablaze with upsets and heroes being made, and each team legitimately has a chance against one another because it is just for one game, and major colleges can be upset by ones nobody has heard about before (Dunk City anyone). I think this same drama should be added to the FIFA World Cup but on a much grander scale since it only does come around every 4 years. I think the tournament should be a bracketed with a single elimination tournament like what the NCAA has. This would get rid of the need for draws, and make the drama higher in extra time and in penalty kicks. Also, it would be beneficial if the field was expanded to 128 teams. that way fans can still see their favorite players even if they were not on a good team such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Sweden and Gareth Bale of Wales. It would also make it so only the absolute worst teams wouldn't make it and there would be the possibility of crazy upsets which could shake up the entire World Cup. This is a tournament that only comes about every 4 years and I think that if we make it how I think it should be it would make it even bigger than it has already gotten.
