Rockies Trade
Justin Morneau 1B Sign and Trade
Brandon Barnes OF
Mariners Trade
Hisashi Iwakuma P
This is a fair trade for both teams. The Rockies have been drawing interest in Justin Morneau and the Mariners need a first baseman. Also the Mariners need a outfielder and Brandon Barnes is a very good one. For the Rockies this is good because the are always in need of pitching. This could really happen.

Padres Trade
Odrisamer Despaigne P
Tommy Medica 1B
After the Rockies trade Justin Morneau, they are going to need a first baseman. Tommy Medica is an okay replacement. On the other hand, the Padres need a catcher after just recently trading Yasmani Grandal. Again, the Rockies need pitching and Despaigne would help them.

Cash Considerations
Player to Be Named Later
As you probably heard already, Derek Jeter had retired. The Yankees acquired Didi Gregorius from the Diamondbacks but nobody knows if he is a good replacement. Troy Tulowitzki has already proven himself and could be a great replacement. Secondly, Carlos Gonzalez is a great fit for the Yankees. He could hit for power and make plays in the outfield. Kyle Parker is a prospect outfielder and Wilton Lopez is a reliable relief pitcher. On the other hand, the Rockies are receiving many great players in return. Pineda, Severino, and Banuelos are great young pitchers and Gregorius and Pirela have potential. Chris Young has experience and Mason Williams is almost ready for the Majors. I believe this trade should be immediately done.
Do you think the Yankees should be worried Troy and Carlos' past injuries?
ReplyDeleteI do think the Yankees should be worried because of their injury histories which is why we included more players going to New York on the Rockies end and we did not include the Yankees top prospect Gary Sanchez going to Colorado.
