A Tournament Idea For Baseball

Major League Baseball used to be the most popular sport in America but with the rise of basketball and football it has dropped to a distant 3rd. The reason people dislike baseball so much is because they say that the games are too long and the season is too long which are valid points but ones I disagree with wholeheartedly. I think what baseball needs to do is institute a tournament that is kind of like the FA cup of English soccer and the NCAA tournament of college basketball. What I am proposing is a large NCAA style tournament single elimination style(Yes I love these kinds of tournaments), and like the FA cup there would be teams from all over America and a little bit of Canada in it. There would be minor league teams, major league teams, independent league teams, college teams, semi pro teams, high school teams, from all over the country in one tournament. This tournament would be be beneficial because baseball has the most parity of any sport so there could be a lot of upsets and could eventually be expanded to all over the world. I think this tournament would really benefit the game in whole and should really be considered by Rob Manfred.
